UK Business Immigration – Tier 1 Entrepreneur Category
Tier 1 Entrepreneur category visa is for experienced business people to come and bring business ideas in United Kingdom (UK). Applicant must have suitable experience and sufficient funds to start a new business, buy an existing business or make a partnership in one or more businesses. Applicants are evaluated on a point based system. Each applicant must score at least 95 points in total to get this visa. Detail of the points for different factors are given as below;
Points are awarded for the following categories, which are known as attributes. You will need a total of at least 75 points in this section.

You will score 25 points if you have £200,000 of your own money available to make a fresh investment into business in the United Kingdom.
You will score 25 points if your money is held in one or more regulated financial institutions.
You will score 25 points if you have money held in the United Kingdom in an institution that is regulated by the Financial Services Authority – UK (FSA).
You must provide a letter from your bank that the amount is transferable into UK, if your bank is not regulated by UK Financial Services Authority (FSA).
The ability to meet the required English standard is a mandatory requirement. If you cannot meet this level, your application will be refused regardless of any points you may have scored in the Attributes section. 10 points are awarded in this section if you meet the required standard and if you do not.
There are three ways in which you can meet this requirement.

Besides the investment funds required for Tier 1 entrepreneur, applicant must show access to maintenance funds for the living purpose. You must show this amount for your and your dependents. Amount required is given here under. This amount should be held in your account for at least three (3) months prior to your application date. End of these three (3) months should not be more than one month before the date f application.
